I had a conversation with John Morris, Bank of America SA strategist, about their 2026 fund managers’ survey. Local fund managers are very bullish on JSE equities, with some sectors preferred over others – and interestingly, it’s not all mining. They also expect a stronger rand and a lower prime rate, albeit the survey was done before the attack on Iran and that potentially changes everything.
