Why we love this deal

Most electronics are designed as “grab and go” devices these days, but the tablet still takes the top slot when it comes to selecting our favorites. Phones and laptops certainly have expanded their capabilities through the years, but a phone screen is still fairly limiting and a laptop is just sometimes too large. The tablet, however, has a better-sized screen that you can easily navigate all sorts of apps to help you browse the web, stream TV shows and movies, read e-books, create documents, and so much more. And while there are certainly some pricey models on the market that make us pause about purchasing, there are tons of affordable models that provide the same smart features without a hefty price tag.

As part of a Walmart Flash deal this week, the Blackview Android Tablet Tab 20 is 23% off. You can get the already decently-priced $90 device for just $69, and don’t let the discount fool you. The price might be lower than other models, but the amount of features still resembles a lot of those more expensive options.

Why do shoppers love it?

The 10.1-inch tablet is a multifunctional electronic accessory that’s good for both work and play. With up to 12 gigabytes (GB) random access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of internal storage, this device is fast-operating, with the ability to run multiple apps smoothly at once, while offering an impressive permanent storage capacity for files, apps, and photos. In simpler terms, the RAM refers to the speeds at which a device processes, and it is often faster, more volatile, and short-term, while the internal storage is where everything on the device goes, and it’s a slower, more long-term process. The internal storage even has the capacity to be expanded with a micro SD card up to 2 terabytes of additional storage.

The 1280×800 pixel HD+ touchscreen delivers realistic colors and crystal clear picture with a 79% screen to body ratio, which makes it easy to read things and complete tasks like writing emails, editing documents, surfing the web, and enjoying entertainment. With most Android devices, you can even sync it to your Android phone and receive calls and texts by directly pairing it through settings or using third-party messaging apps.

It has a rear camera and front camera to take videos and photos, and with the Widevine L1 support, you can access 1080 full HD video streaming on all your favorite platforms like Disney+ and Hulu. The device has a 6600 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery that, when fully charged, can play a little over six hours of constant video streaming, six hours of gaming, and 984 total hours when it’s on standby — i.e. when it’s not actively being used — before needing a recharge.

The pros and cons of a $69 Android tablet

Pros

  • It has 64 GB of internal storage with the option of expanding up to 2 TBs of internal storage.
  • The battery has 984 total hours of power when on standby.
  • The Android 15 software has increased the tablet’s security and privacy features.

Cons

  • Android tablets have a history of issues connecting/pairing with iPhone devices.
  • Some shoppers say the device takes a long time to fully charge.

There are a lot of things shoppers love about this tablet. For one, it’s fairly simple and straightforward to set up and use, with many shoppers pointing out that it’s great for older adults unfamiliar with tech and children just getting their first device — it apparently has excellent parental control features. Many shoppers say that this model is a great alternative to high-end, more expensive versions. Although it can pair with Apple devices, as an Android tablet many shoppers find it to be harder to pair the two versus Android to Android connections. They also say that the battery takes a long time to charge, but overall, the touchscreen is effective, the tablet operates at fast speeds, and sound quality is as clear as the screen quality.
