An unexpected spring arrival
It’s not surprising to see many spring arrivals out there featuring pastel colors and floral prints. While Coach has checked off both of those boxes, there was one new addition to its lineup that I was pleasantly surprised to see: One of my favorite Coach bags available in a new color.
The Mott Messenger Bag 38 is now available in navy, a classic but unexpected deep blue hue that I didn’t anticipate would come out this spring. But the new arrival is more than welcome. Joining its small but solid offerings of black and Maple brown in its natural grain leather and vegetable-tanned leather combo, it’s another must-have neutral added to the list.

Why do shoppers love it?
If you want a spacious bag that looks elevated and high-end, the Mott messenger bag is an excellent choice. It measures 15 inches long by 3.5 inches wide by 12 inches high, and has an adjustable 18-inch strap that can be worn on the shoulder or as a crossbody bag. Inside, there’s a single large compartment and a small snap pocket for a little extra organization. The bag can comfortably fit a 13-inch laptop, as well as a notebook, wallet, keys, and a whole lot more. It’s refined enough to wear to the office but somehow casual enough to wear as the perfect slouchy everyday bag. As the owner of the Mott Messenger Bag 33 in Maple, the smallest of the Mott line, I can attest to how stylish, useful, and versatile the design is.
Now combine all of its minimalistic convenience with the new navy color, and it’s like striking gold. The navy is a deep inky blue tone that looks so sophisticated and can really go with almost any outfit. It may not be a typical spring color, but it does offer a lighter tone compared to black and Maple that would be a beautiful addition to any bag collection.
And if you want an even bigger bag, the Mott Messenger Bag — which measures 18.5 inches long by 4.25 inches wide by 14.25 inches high — is also available in the new navy shade.
